Sherry Lynn Cox, 47, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the University of Utah Hospital after a lingering illness. She was born June 25, 1960 in Great Falls, MT to Vance and Faye Hansen Mendenhall. Sherry married Neldon Cox, they were later divorced. Sherry graduated from Layton High School and was employed the Pioneer Adult Rehabilitation Center as a sheet metal worker. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served her country in the USAF for four years. She enjoyed western music, camping, fly fishing and needlepoint. And she loved her pets. Sherry was a life member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. Sherry is survived by her parents, Vance and Faye Mendenhall of Clearfield. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:10 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
