Tom Moss

       Thomas James Moss Thomas James Moss, age 51, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, formerly of Layton, Utah, died Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Tom is survived by his wife of 22 years, Cheryl; sons, Sean (Dacia) Moss, Albuquerque, NM; Dillon Moss, (currently serving an LDS Mission in Bolivia), and Austin Moss; daughters Mariah, Kalea, and Briley, granddaughter Paige and grandson, on the way, Declan Thomas Moss. He is also survived by three brothers and a sister, David (Debby) Moss, Linda (Phil) Gibbons, John (Markaye) Moss and Jerry (LeAnn) Moss along with many nieces and nephews and extended family members. Tom was preceded in death by his first wife Cari Larsen Moss, mother of Sean, his parents Lee M and Ruth Moss, and a sister Gale Bangerter. Tom grew up in Layton and graduated from Layton High School in 1978. After returning from his LDS Mission to Tampa, Florida, he attended and graduated from Weber State University with a degree in Business Finance. Tom was an avid outdoorsman and found great joy hiking and camping. He devoted 20 plus years to young men and Boy Scouts. He helped many young men, including his sons advance to be Eagle Scouts. Tom worked very hard and spent many hours serving others. He will always be remembered as a husband and father who lived for his family. He is so very proud of them and their accomplishments. He will be deeply missed. Friends and family are invited to join Tom’s family at a graveside remembrance on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
